The shout
When somebody rolls a 1 & 2, the whole table shouts PORO! Anyone who fails to shout takes a step down. The rule is cruel and perfect.
The bell-bearer
Whoever carries the reindeer bell decides the rolling order. Power changes hands with a single roll, and the bell is always jingling in someone's hand.
Antler tokens
The reindeer left standing at the end of the rut wins an antler token. Collect enough and you are crowned Champion of the Herd. The others will demand a rematch.

What is the PORO dice game?
PORO is a dice game for the whole family, for 2–8 players. Each player gets three attempts to roll two dice, and whoever rolls lowest drops out of the round. A 1 and a 2 is the best combination in the game — a PORO. When someone rolls it, the whole table shouts PORO, the roller takes the reindeer bell and decides the next rolling order. The last player left in the round wins an antler token, and whoever collects the most is crowned Champion of the Herd.
What is in the box?
The box contains a game board, 8 playing pieces in different colours, 2 dice, antler tokens and a rulebook.
How many people can play?
2–8 players. PORO is at its best with a big group — the more shouters, the better.
Is the game too hard for children?
Not at all. The age recommendation is 5+. If you can read the pips on a die and shout PORO, you can play.
How long does one game take?
About 20 minutes. Fair warning: nobody ever plays just one game.
What languages are the rules in?
The rulebook is in Finnish, Swedish, English and Japanese. It also has a QR code that opens the rules in several more languages.
What does PORO cost and how does delivery work?
PORO costs €26.90, and shipping within Finland is always free. The game is available to pre-order now: payment is charged when you order and the first edition ships in approximately September–October 2026.
